
Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Turkey on November 19–21 to discuss key political, economic, and security issues with government officials and non-governmental experts.
The Deputy Secretary first visited Adana where he continued to engage with refugees, local stakeholders and government officials on the U.S. response to the regional refugee crisis.
Following that, Deputy Secretary Blinken delivered remarks on U.S. foreign and energy policy priorities on November 20 at the Atlantic Council’s Energy and Economic Summit in Istanbul. He also met with Turkish officials and participate in events with civil society, highlighting the U.S. cooperation on refugee education and entrepreneurship during his Istanbul visit.
