U.S Consul General Chuck Hunter’s home filled with the beautiful sounds of music by Syrian Juilliard alumnus, Ayman Jarjour and three young and talented Syrian refugees – Al Hasan Al Nour (qanun), Burhan Alkhateeb (oud), Bashar Balleh (guitar).

Ayman Jarjour

 After his Master of Music degree at The Julliard School Jarjour received his Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, Spain. He has given master classes and served on the faculty od the High Institute of Music in Damascus, Syria and has been teaching in Damascus, Madrid, New York, London and Brussels Jarjour’s international performances include concerts in Beirut, Amman, Madrid, Bonn, Brussels and Taipei.

Al Hasan Al Nour

Al Hasan is a medical doctor and musician living in Istanbul. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Damascus. He is a qanun player and is a volunteer musician with N7na.  He has also been a band leader with Nabd Ensemble for 2 years.

Burhan Alkhateeb

Burhan is a oud player, singer and dervish musician living in istanbul.  He works with Tahleeleh Est Production of Sufi and Andalusian. He participated in several Arab and foreign festivals of Sufi music.  And gave oriental singing lessons in Damascus.

Bashar Balleh

Bashar is a guitar player among many other musical instruments.  He is working at an NGO called PROJECT LIFT as a therapy assistant and translator.  He studied business management in Syria and recently enrolled in Okan university’s Mechanical Engineering Faculty.
