Would You Like to Go to the U.S. This Summer? Summer Months May Be Too Late to Apply for a Visa!

The U.S. Embassy Ankara and Consulate General Istanbul would like to encourage all non-immigrant visa applicants to apply for their visas well in advance of the summer travel season. Currently the wait time for visa appointments at Embassy Ankara and Consulate General Istanbul is one week or less.  However we anticipate that wait times may increase significantly during the peak season, April through August, as we approach the busy summer travel months. We would like to remind applicants that you are always welcome to apply for a U.S. visa several months before their trip, even if you don’t have every detail of your trip planned.  We are already interviewing applicants who plan to travel to the United States this summer.

All information about how to apply for your U.S. visa can be found at the U.S. Department of State’s web page at www.travel.state.gov or at the web page of the Embassy Ankara at https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/ or the Consulate General Istanbul’s web page at https://tr.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/istanbul/visas/.
