Labor Confederation Rallies, Kurtulus Meydani and Kolej Meydani in Ankara, on October 15

U.S. Embassy Ankara informs U.S. citizens that a group of labor unions have announced rallies at two different locations in Ankara on October 15, 2016. The rallies are set to begin at 10:00 at Kurtulus Meydani and at 12:00 at Kolej Meydani.

Even gatherings intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of large gatherings, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
