
American entrepreneur Susan Gregg Koger visited Istanbul on June 2-3 to share the ModCloth success story, an online vintage clothing and accessories retailer launched in 2002 during her college years with a passion for fashion. Following her speech on “To Turn Your Passion into Profit in Mobile Life” at at Kolektif House in Istanbul, Koger first met with young entrepreneurs to share how she turned her startup project ModCloth into a 100+ million dollar empire, with 50% mobile app traffic today.
Koger then chatted with Ortaköy Zübeyde Hanım Girls’ Vocational & Technical School students on the entrepreneurial spirit, and told them “don’t be afraid to make mistakes” while moving forward with a true passion for achieving their goals. Thoughtful questions from young Istanbul entrepreneurs and students highlighted the amazing entrepreneurial energy of Turkey.
During her visit, Koger also explored some of the coolest shopping districts in Istanbul with famous Turkish digital branding/style consultant and fashion blogger Nil Ertürk.
