Two consecutive conferences organized by the U.S. Embassy Ankara on Teaching English were held in Antalya
28 English Language Fellows – American expert English teachers and teacher trainers – serving in Europe and the Middle East gathered in Antalya for the Fellows Mid-Year Conference on January 26 – 28, 2015. This conference was organized so that the Fellows could share best practices in their work and develop action plans for the second half of their fellowships.
Following the Fellows Mid-Year Conference, Making English Come Alive Conference was held for two days designed for 40 Access teachers and 30 English teachers in Antalya between January 29 and 30, 2015. The Fellows presented workshops on best practices in English teaching to the conference attendees.
The English Access Micro-scholarship Program provides 360 hours of English and American culture instruction to over 400 underprivileged Turkish youth in 20 cities across Turkey.
