Once the Embassy’s Consular Section physically receives the file, instructions will be e-mailed to you. Upon receipt of the instructions, please visit usvisa-info.com and follow the instructions on the website.  Applicants/petitioners can also call the Visa Information Service at 0850 390-2884 from Turkey or (703) 520-2490 from the United States to schedule their appointments.


Most applicants pay this fee directly to the National Visa Center (NVC) before their case is transferred to Ankara. Please follow this link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/nvc/nvc_1335.html to see the payment options available through NVC. If the applicant has not yet paid the fee by the appointment date, he/she can pay the fee to the Consular Section cashier before the interview.

All K visa applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee while getting an appointment through usvisa-info.com.

Please note that these fees are non-refundable. Additionally, if you have already paid the IV application fee to the National Visa Center (NVC), you will not have to pay it again at your interview.

No. Eligible dependent children can receive immigrant visas at the same time as the principal beneficiary or any time thereafter, provided that the dependent child is still unmarried and under 21 years of age at the time of the visa issuance to that principal beneficiary. Please be advised, you must ensure that the dependent child’s file remains active after the principal beneficiary’s issuance by contacting our office at least once every year.

Physical presence of the petitioner is required only when actually filing the I-130 petitions in Ankara. Petitioners for other visa applicants may not attend the interview.

A petitioner may withdraw a petition by mailing an original signed statement to the Consular Section stating their wish to do so.

Starting from 19 December 2012, all immigrant visa applicants need to register a passport/visa pick up location through Yatri’s website at usvisa-info.com.  Applicants/petitioners can also call the Visa Information Service at 0850 390-2884 from Turkey or (703) 520-2490 from the United States to register their pickup locations. We would like to remind you that there is no alternative way to receive your approved visa documents.

After the visa application process is completed and a visa is issued, the Consular Section will send the applicant’s passport and visa packet to a Turkish Postal Service (PTT) office of the applicant’s choice for personal pick up.  For this reason, each immigrant visa applicant will need to visit usvisa-info.com and follow the instructions on the website to select a PTT office closest to them.  A map of all PTT offices in Ankara is posted on this web page for your convenience.

Once a PTT office is selected, this location will be used for all mail correspondence between the Consular Section and the applicant.
