STEP 1: Register your appointment online

Each applicant (including all family members) must register their appointment using this link or calling +90-850 390 2884 (703-520-2490 from the United States).

Failure to register your appointment at this web site will delay your entry at the Embassy gate on the day of your interview. Registering your appointment provides us with the information we need to return your passport to you after your interview.  Applicants must select their passport pickup location with Turkish Post (PTT) before coming to the Embassy.  Registration is free.

You may choose between home delivery and pick-up at a designated location.  Your passport and all documents will be returned to you via the chosen delivery option with our Visa Service Provider. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please visit https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ to reschedule. You may only reschedule your immigrant visa appointment 24 hours after your original scheduled interview date. After you register your original appointment date on this web site please click on “group actions” menu and select “Missed my appointment” and “send your request. Once we approve your request, you will be able to select a new appointment date on the website.

If there are no available appointments, please continue to monitor this website for availability.  If you encounter any technical issues with your account, please contact our service provider If you are unable to attend your original appointment there may be a significant delay before the next available appointment.  

Reminder: You need to register your original NVC/KCC appointment online before you can reschedule it. Rescheduling is only possible on a date after your assigned appointment.

If you already have a scheduled appointment and need to request an earlier appointment due to a medical or humanitarian emergency, please log into your account at the official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service site and select “Request Expedite” under “Group Actions” and detail the emergency.

DV applicants should note that visas are numerically limited and must be issued by September 30 of the program year. There is no guarantee that a visa will still be available on the date of your rescheduled interview. Please carefully consult the Visa Bulletin before you decide to reschedule your interview.

In general, the U.S. Embassy in Ankara does not accept transfer cases from other Embassies except in cases of extreme medical or humanitarian emergencies.  If you are experiencing a medical or humanitarian emergency, please contact us. Due to our high-volume workload, even if your transfer request is approved, it may take several months before an interview is scheduled for your case.

If you wish to transfer your case from Ankara to another post, please contact the US Embassy or Consulate you wish your file to be processed at to request the transfer from here to that office. If they agree to the transfer, they will request the file directly from us.
